Panna National Park Near Khajuraho: India's Most Beautiful Forest?
Old woodlands of teak and acacia lay washed in the warm sparkle of the morning sun. We drove along the immense spread of the Ken River flung with little islands, moved up a level dabbed with beautiful molten rocks, crossed percolating streams and fields in shades of harvest time, and showed up at the most pleasant sight – a 200 meter high crevasse, with two superb cascades, encircled by thick greenery, and a stream twisting in the valley underneath. Sitting on the rocks, we had tea and rolls while watching vultures fly around the precarious chasm! Panna Tiger Reserve (otherwise known as Khajuraho National Park) has broken my relationship of untamed life parks with natural life alone.
